New Year, New You!

We meant it when we said it and luckily for you employers believe the ‘New Year, New You’ message as well. As a consequence of this, many people look for new jobs in the new year and because they are actively seeking work, employers are looking to recruit too!

It's at this point you’re going to want to dust off that old CV and put together a job hunting checklist to kick off your job search effectively.

Get in Touch!

It’s around this time of year that companies set their budgets for the new year and this means money will be put aside for future hires. Make a list of some of the companies you’d like to work for and don’t be afraid to get in touch with some directly regarding jobs and careers - you never know what might happen and It’s still not too late for a Christmas miracle!

Network

Present-day techniques of making contacts can include networking online on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn – this line of approach offers you an enormous audience to showcase your knowledge to, so use those new contacts you’ve made over the festive period to help you out in the new year as well as encourage others to join your network.

See Your Potential

The new year often leaves people feeling as if they could, or should, be achieving more. It’s important not to see this as a weakness because in actual fact it isn't. See this as a moment of realising your own potential and seize any opportunity that comes your way - you have nothing to lose.
