Are you a Senior Financial Controller looking to make a career move for 2020? I am looking for an experienced Financial Controller for an excellent role based in South West Dublin - just off the M50.

The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and bring experience to help develop the team. As well as controlling the Finance function you will have day-to-day responsibility for the advancement of an ambitious, progressive and deadline focused team to deliver excellence across all financial areas, in accordance with the company's procedures, to establish smooth & clear processes on cash control, receivables, bank payment processes, suppliers and risk management.

The Role

* Responsible for the timely and accurate review and oversight of month end close and accounting transactions; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, reconciliation & resolution
* Responsible for month end reporting to Group HQ
* Works closely with the Chief Accountant and accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support for the Finance Director and other business departments
* Interacts effectively with internal and external auditors and interim and year-end audits ensuring the provision of timely & accurate data, the implementation of corrective measures, whenever applicable
* Permanent contact and link between the local team and Group IT and other support teams for solving any error/inconsistency in the accounting, acquisitions, financial and reporting systems
* Together with the Finance Director, leads in all aspects of the annual budget and forecasts and interacts closely with Group HQ to ensure timely and accurate submissions
* Acts as the liaison/business partner for other business functions (e.g. Commercial Operations, IT, Marketing, HR, Quality) for analytical and budgeting support
* Consolidates and analyzes financial data to structure reports on the financial performance of the company performance
* Responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely monthly management reporting including revenue reporting, and functional expense variance reporting;
* To work with IT and other functions to develop solutions while evaluating business needs and available resources
* To manage the day to day activities of direct reports and responsible for performance management and development


* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office from the user's perspective (Excel, Word, PPT)
* Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications
* Good understanding of international and local accounting standards
* Self-motivated
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required
* Ability to work effectively with a senior management team
* Concise and clear communication
* Fluent in English
* Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA /ACA/CIMA preferred)
